Spotlight on Garrison Women's Health staff member, Cathy Martin!
You will see Cathy Martin's smiling face most often at our check-out desk in Dover, NH, although you may occasionally see her greeting you at reception.
Cathy also makes appointments, processes insurance precertifications and jumps in to help out in any number of ways.
Cathy has been working with Garrison Women's Health Associates for three years. We're happy that she loves her job - she remembers hoping to work in an office since she was a child.
Caring and Committed
Cathy grew up in Connecticut and moved with her family to Portsmouth in 1982. Shortly thereafter her mother had a stroke.
It is a tribute to Cathy's fortitude and character that she opted to spend her days caring for her mother and maintaining her mother's physical therapy. This necessitated switching to night school to finish high school.
She accomplished all this and still graduated before her class!
Family and Interests
Seven years ago, Cathy married her soulmate, Shawn Martin. They have just purchased their first home in Somersworth, NH which they share with their cat, Maya.
Cathy is very proud of her two sons, Roy, 18, and Richard, 24.
Richard lives locally, but her son, Roy, who recently became a Private First Class in the Marine Corps is now stationed in Aberdeen, MD. He is presently doing MOS training and will specialize in weapon repair.
Cathy loves to read and she and Shawn also spend a lot of time with her parents, who have become their best friends!
Cathy looks forward to seeing you and will help you in any way she can.
